Course DescriptionThis course provides an overview of the field of photojournalism. Through lectures and presentations by Ryerson faculty and industry professionals, students will be introduced to the history of photojournalism, its genres, technologies, and techniques. Practical and theoretical concerns such as ethics and legal issues will be discussed. Assignments throughout the course will give students hands-on practice in different photojournalistic genres.
Note: You must own or have access to an interchangeable lens digital camera and Adobe Lightroom for this course.
