Course Description

Visually impaired businesswoman doing a presentation in a meeting

Make the world more accessible with this in-demand inclusivity training

One in five Canadians has a disability. Canada’s population is aging. And we need to create spaces and buildings that support everyone better.

The Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification (RHFAC) training course gives you the skills and experience you’ll need to rate a building for accessibility under the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification program.

The course shares the issues people with disabilities face – and how a site can be adapted to be more inclusive. It combines both theory and hands-on practice, and teaches the Universal Design knowledge you need to help assess built environments and provide detailed accessibility recommendations for construction and renovation projects.

Once you complete the RHFAC training course, you’ll be eligible to write the online RHFAC Professional exam to get the RHFAC Professional designation.

Let’s ensure our environments are welcoming for everyone. Be part of the change and begin your training today.
