Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) and Other Government Assistance
Many of our certificate programs are approved for government financial assistance through the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP). If you’re completing one of these certificates, you may be eligible to receive OSAP.
For a complete list of certificate programs approved for OSAP, visit the Chang School Certificates section of Ryerson’s Student Financial Assistance website.
For more information about OSAP, visit the Government of Ontario website.
To receive OSAP funding for an OSAP-eligible certificate, you must be taking courses that count toward the certificate graduation requirements. Courses that do not count toward the certificate’s completion cannot be funded through OSAP.
The Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP)
Chang School programs may meet the education requirements outlined by the Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP). The LLP allows you to withdraw from your RRSP to cover tuition fees.
View the Canada Revenue Agency’s website to access more information on the Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP), including eligibility specifications and requirements for qualifying educational programs.
The Canada Training Benefit
The Government of Canada’s Training Benefit offers funding to help workers pay for training needed to prepare for a new job, or to keep their current skills up-to-date. The benefit program includes a non-taxable Canada Training Credit that assists eligible workers with up to half of the cost of taking a course or training program.
Visit The Canada Training Benefit website for more information, including eligibility requirements.
