Already enrolled in an undergraduate program at Ryerson University or another school? Our degree-credit courses can help you improve your GPA, earn credits to transfer to your home institution, or strengthen your application for graduate studies.

Interested in transferring credits to another institution?

Completing a degree-credit course on campus or online can help you make up a course or get a head start and lighten your course load in the future. The Chang School offers daytime, evening, and weekend classes throughout the year; one-week and multi-week intensives; and a wide range of courses available online

To ensure the degree credits you complete at The Chang School will transfer to your home institution, you must obtain approval from your home institution before enrolling in a Chang school course. Your university will also require time for approval of your proposed transfer credits. For details and a Letter of Permission application, contact your home institution’s Office of the Registrar. Your home institution will determine whether or not the course you plan to enrol in at The Chang School is an acceptable transfer credit.

We recommend that you request a Ryerson Student Number as soon as possible so you can enrol in Chang School courses online instead of in person.

Note for Ryerson University undergraduate students only: If enrolling in a Chang School course that is to be used for your undergraduate degree requirements, you do not need to apply for Transfer Credit. You must cross-enrol in the continuing education course by selecting the Undergraduate Career (UGRD) when enrolling online.

Does your course have a prerequisite?

You may need to provide transcripts, grade reports, course descriptions, and/or course outlines to demonstrate that you have met prerequisite requirements.

The Chang School has final authority on determining if prerequisites completed at other institutions satisfy Chang School prerequisite requirements. Keep in mind that some courses also require an interview or placement assessment.
