Music and Wellness is a 6-week online course that will help students learn how to use music to foster well being in their daily lives. Music can help people connect with each other, express their emotions, and find joy and creativity. Each class will explore a different way that students can use music to improve their mental and physical health. Classes will also have mini-lectures that explore the neurological, psychological, and biological reasons why music makes us feel good. At the end of the course, students will have a toolkit of musical strategies that they can use to find wellness in their daily lives. No previous musical experience is needed to participate in this course and all students will be encouraged to work at their own pace and within their comfort level.
