Course Description

This course investigates the historical context that lighting design has on architectural spaces and design elements. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the design process and visual perception on developing lighting design strategies applied to a variety of practical problems. The physical properties of light and luminaire systems are studied and solutions applied to gain a better connection to light, colour, and the architectural space.
