CKCS 106 - Intro to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Ethics
Course Description
Learn to apply ethical frames of reference to professional applications of artificial intelligence and to use practical data methods to solve ethical problems when engaging in AI at work. With the rise in algorithmic and AI decision-making, autonomous systems, and machine learning, gain skills in executing ethical oversight and regulatory adherence in order to ensure that AI remains trustworthy in the dissemination of information and in the protection of individual rights.
AI is for everyone, and not only for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math professionals. AI domains such as machine learning, deep learning, neural network frameworks and predictive analytics are recognized as having significant and growing importance to organizational performance in the development of private sector-delivered services and products; and to telecommunications, supply chain/transport, finance, insurance, research, energy management, law enforcement, marketing, and government institutions.
No previous background is required. This course is offered through in-class course delivery, in on-campus computer lab facilities.
