CSCC 911 - Caring Clown Practicum

Course Description

This practicum continues the work begun in CSCC 910, by giving students opportunities to gain practical experience as Caring Clowns in various long-term care homes. Students will clown with individual and small groups of residents in designated units. Students will submit a written journal outlining their experiences and learning. A final one-hour interview with the academic coordinator completes the Caring Clown program. Upon successful completion, students will have opportunities to volunteer in long-term care homes.
