Course DescriptionStudents are introduced to Indigenous Peoples in Canada, beginning with the diversity, strengths and worldviews within these groups. Canada's history and legacy of the colonization of Indigenous Peoples is examined. Students are asked to be reflexive, sharing their understandings of the materials to which they are exposed. Ways of supporting all children, within the contexts of their families and communities, to grow in a place of respect, unity, and understanding will be explored.
