Course DescriptionThis course is a review of the legal context for environmental management. It examines in detail the legislation that governs present environmental practice, as well as the laws governing the transportation and disposal of wastes, environmental liability, and the protection of valued ecosystem components. The course identifies the differences between federal and provincial environmental laws and policies. In addition, it outlines the institutional, legal, and practical options for making environmental decisions.
