Course DescriptionThe built environment has a substantial impact on the environment, specifically on energy and material resources. This overview course examines the sustainable development of buildings by examining how building process, materials, methods, components, and systems affect the environment and how designers such as architects and engineers have alternatives to affect a smaller environmental footprint. The course will include case studies and may include a field trip and/or guest speakers.
