Course DescriptionThis course analyzes the evolution and social significance of cultural traditions in the Caribbean, leading to an understanding of contemporary popular traditions. The course examines the ethnic, racial and cultural diversity of the area, as a source of distinct cultural traditions; the impact of foreign influences; and the export of Caribbean cultural forms to the international area.
