Course DescriptionIt is essential for those working in the nonprofit sector to understand the financial context for the operation of nonprofit and charitable organizations and their programs, initiatives, and enterprises. Students will gain a working knowledge of the concepts, practices and tools associated with budgeting, financial reporting, financial oversight, resource management, financial planning, tax issues, performance measurement, and risk management. The course will provide an opportunity to apply the learning in assignments, discussions and activities.
