She helped make January 28, 1988 happen – the date when Dr. Henry Morgentaler won his groundbreaking fight to decriminalize abortion in Canada and on which the long and epic battle for women's reproductive rights ended. This historic date marked the culmination of 20 years of Ruth's advocacy work.
