Merit-Based Awards for Community Engagement Programs

Merit-based awards are awarded based on demonstrated academic excellence, often in combination with other attributes such as contribution to a specific community. Most awards are presented at the annual Chang School Leaders in Learning awards ceremony held in the fall.

The following merit-based awards are specific to students who are participating in Programs for 50+ and Community Engagement and Spanning the Gaps – Access to Post-Secondary Education. See the list of merit-based awards available to the general continuing education student population.

Women’s Executive Network (WXN) Entrance Award for Young Entrepreneurs in the Bridges to Ryerson Program Students who are completing the Transition Foundations Program through Spanning the Gaps – Access to Post-Secondary Education at The Chang School, are in good academic standing, and are registered in a full-time undergraduate program at Ryerson University in the forthcoming Fall term To support young entrepreneurs who identify as female, who are completing the Transition Foundations Program, and who will be entering an undergraduate degree program at Ryerson University 1 $5,000 Access to application will be available through Spanning the Gaps – Access to Post-Secondary Education.
