OneCards for CECLs
As a Continuing Education contract lecturer (CECL), you must obtain a Toronto Metropolitan University OneCard (photo ID) in order to gain access to campus buildings. You will also want to get your card authorized at the Library to access their many resources.
In most circumstances, the OneCard Office can grant access to most department-authorized buildings and rooms remotely. If you have a OneCard but it is not granting you access to buildings on campus, please email onecard@torontomu.ca. In many cases, issues related to building and door access can be resolved remotely and do not require you to visit the OneCard Office.
NOTE: To gain access to The Chang School building you will need to make a separate request, via this form, each term in which you are hired.
You only need to obtain your OneCard once. Keep it safe between teaching assignments; it will be re-activated automatically whenever you are re-hired to teach at The Chang School.
How to get your OneCard
Refer to the Get Your Card web page for details on getting your OneCard and having it coded for access to your classroom.
Employees are encouraged to submit a photo for their OneCard and their employee number to onecard@torontomu.ca prior to going to the OneCard Office. However, photos can be taken on site and your card will still be issued within minutes. New employees are required to present an accepted form of government-issued identification and their TMU employee number.
Have you lost your OneCard?
If you have lost your OneCard, the first step is to report it to the OneCard Office as soon as possible. Visit the Replace Your Card web page and follow the instructions.
